Located in Manhattan’s Jacob K. Javits Center, Boutique Design New York (BDNY) was held November 11th and 12th, marking Brentano’s third year at the show. Along with showcasing our landmark No. 50 Collection, this year’s BDNY stood as the first official preview for the upcoming Sovereign Collection, which launches Spring 2019.
Celebrating soft hues, Brentano’s display featured subtle pinks framed by warm neutrals and a tactile variety of textures from dynamic faux leathers, delicate embroidery, luxurious velvets and intricate woven techniques. The combined themes of Brentano’s archival highlights, rich materials and blush accents, resulted in a refined, curated spotlight on some of the most innovative and relevant products at the show.
Our whole team was delighted our widely appreciated performance velvet, Samara won the Best of BDNY Award in the fabric design category, only enhancing the success of our No. 50 Collection. A jacquard velvet, Samara is a delicate balance of beauty and nature, designed by Founder and V.P. of Design, Iris Wang. Boasting Tri-sistant finishing to resist liquids for easy cleanability, Samara is a crowning achievement in Brentano’s strive for beauty + performance.
Brentano is humbled to have been chosen by the BDNY judges, and we extend our sincerest congratulations to the fellow finalists and winners. We can’t wait to see everyone there again next year!
