4240 Gainsborough

Dubbed Gainsborough for the famous painter’s treatment of the lustrous blue gown in Mr. and Mrs. Andrews, Brentano’s first satin fabric has a luxurious, reflective quality that highlights every ripple and fold. A polyester warp satin with a cotton weft for a pleasant, mid-weight hand, 54” Gainsborough offers 20 versatile, piece-dyed colorways so every designer can experience this classic construction. As an upholstery, Gainsborough exceeds 50,000 double rubs (Wyzenbeek, Cotton Duke); as a drapery, it can be treated to pass NFPA 701 Test 1 for commercial applications.
