Bright Outdoor Fabrics Lead Brentano's Spring Collection
From bold to subtle, new textiles explore the world through an artist's eye

Design Director Iris Wang revisits her inspiration for Discovery »

Wherever Brentano's Design Director Iris Wang goes — whether visiting a mill in Japan, mountain climbing in Death Valley or simply driving through the Midwest, she records the moments that capture her attention in drawings and notes. Inspired by these travel journals, the patterns in Brentano's spring Discovery collection explore the world through her artist's eye: intriguing materials, inspiring landscapes and architectural motifs expressed in 23 textiles.

Discovery puts an acute focus on details, like natural materials and thoughtful lines, that introduce luxury to residential, hospitality and commercial projects without compromising on wearability. From bold to subtle, the collection expands Brentano's most popular product lines with new patterns for outdoor (Element and Parterre), eco-friendly polyurethane faux leather (Komodo and Splint) and fire retardant drapery (Glimpse and Loie) applications.

Parterre and Element, a contrast of vibrant and subdued, join Brentano's distinctive line of outdoor fabrics. The bold, vertical stripes of Parterre, like the regimented European gardens inspiring the name, give a formal structure to its traditional twill weave yet play with color and scale. Lightfast, antibacterial, and bleach cleanable, 100% solution-dyed polyester Parterre and its 100% solution-dyed polyolefin companion Element, a subtle texture, both exceed 70,000 double rubs (Wyzenbeek) for true beauty + performance.
