Brentano Fabrics Prominently Displayed at NeoCon 2012
Green Spot, Leland, National, and Versteel demonstrate versatility of fabric line

07.01.2012

From early Monday morning, June 11, until late Wednesday afternoon, June 13, tens of thousands of commercial interior design professionals streamed through the Merchandise Mart in downtown Chicago to experience all that NeoCon, North 2012 Hopitality Design Expo PostcardAmerica’s largest commercial interior design show and conference, had to offer.

The mood was bright, and the colors were brighter. Over 700 exhibitors were on-site, many surrounding themselves with summery citrus hues reminiscent of the Tangerine and Sprout Brentano forecasted for 2012. Several showrooms in addition to Brentano’s Chicago showroom (Donghia) featured Brentano fabrics, demonstrating both the versatility and contract-level durability of the line. Designers can expect more performance introductions this fall with the Gallery collection and its focus on product for corporate, healthcare, hospitality, institutional, and public spaces.

Merchandise Mart Green Spot

The Green Spot—a  tucked-away gallery of environmentally-friendly and sustainable products on the first floor of the Merchandise Mart—welcomed two Brentano Green fabrics this year: Kinetic, a 100% post-consumer recycled polyester performance fabric, and Bricolage, a printed polyurethane. Facing these two new panels were D.I.Y. and Meander, two Brentano textiles introduced to the space in 2011. 2012 marks the fourth consecutive year that the Green Spot has featured Brentano Green fabrics.

National Office Furniture

National Office Furniture’s Epic Event, which coincided with NeoCon, also embraced fun, useable combinations of Brentano patterns. National’s stylish, affordable office solutions (“Furniture with Personality”) drew a constant crowd and highlighted eye-catching fabrics like Quadro and Paparazzi. Equally noteworthy were the showroom’s displays of healthcare product with elegant groupings of National’s Confide seating covered with Brentano performance fabrics Hocus Pocus (Crypton), Abracadabra (Nanotex + Durablock), and Ooh La La (polyurethane). Versteel

Likewise, Versteel selected two signature Brentano fabrics (Instinct and Filigree) to make their display of creative contract table and seating solutions pop. In a showroom dominated by hard-surface product, the patterns these two fabrics introduced became prime focal points in the space.Silhouette - bamboo drapery

Brentano Covers Leland

Brentano celebrated the first anniversary of their partnership with Leland International at NeoCon. Last summer the two companies announced that Brentano’s entire line is now pretested on Leland products and included in their graded fabric program. Brentano made its debut in the Leland showroom in 2011; and this year, Brentano’s colorful polyurethane fabrics covered one of Leland’s new Quarry benches, winner of a Best of NeoCon Gold award.
